The 6,000 square feet site in Yorkshire will add capacity and economies of scale as it launches the MyLotus unexplained infertility product in China in final quarter of the year, and following anticipated CE European approval, in the continent next year.
The facility at Bullrush Grove Business Park, which will be operational in the first quarter of 2017, will manufacture lateral flow test strips for the MyLotus product.
Having recently opened a research and development hub in Bedfordshire, the company wants to widen its new product development elsewhere in the ‘mobile health’ space.
Chief executive Erik Henau said: “Concepta has a commitment to Yorkshire through one of the earliest backers of our business, Finance Yorkshire.
“The securing of this new facility is essential to the company’s continued growth and it will provide the capacity to support our flagship MyLotus fertility product following its targeted launch in China later this year and across Europe in 2017.”
