Doncaster Business for the Community form strategic partnership with Westfield Health

Business led charity, Doncaster Business For The Community (DB4C), has formed an exciting strategic partnership with leading health and wellbeing provider, Westfield Health.

The Charity has been inundated with offers of support since its launch last month and is about to reveal its calendar of events for 2017/2018.  The unveiling of this partnership and sponsorship deal comes as DB4C seeks to build on this momentum and engage local businesses in new and innovative ways in which Doncaster’s business people can be actively involved raising much-needed funds for local charities and community projects through participation in sports related events.

Formed in 1919 Westfield Health has evolved to become a multi-award winning health and wellbeing provider on a national basis working with 400,000 customers and more than 8000 companies and are a key partner in the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre, the world’s most advanced research and development centre for physical activity, established by Sheffield Hallam University and centrepiece of Sheffield’s Olympic Legacy Park.

Over the last 20 years Westfield Health have donated more than £11 million to support the health and wellbeing of communities across the UK, helping people to live better lives.

Kevin Anderson, Chief Marketing Officer for Westfield Health welcomed the formation of the partnership:

“Westfield Health is delighted to support the Doncaster Business for the Community initiative to help make a difference to some of Doncaster’s most deserving charities and community projects affecting young people.

“As a leading Health and Wellbeing company we are passionate about helping people to lead healthy, and happy lives for longer, and we understand the difference strong education and early intervention can make to young people.

“Getting active and competing as part of a team is a fantastic way to boost Health and Wellbeing, and we wish all the businesses involved the very best of luck in competition.”

Nigel Tomlinson, DB4C Director and Trustee, added:

“We are delighted to form this partnership with an organisation that is an outstanding South Yorkshire based business success story and one of the UK’s leading health and wellbeing providers.

“This is not just about sponsorship, this is a natural partnership in that both DB4C and Westfield Health are dedicated to improving health through physical exercise and at the same time, giving back to their community.  As charitable and not for profit organisations it is something that both organisations strongly believe in and together we make a formidable partnership which will make a difference.”
