The brand-new Toys “R” Us has now opened its doors to customers, just in time for this year’s festive period.
The store’s most popular toys are expected to fly off the shelves over the next eight weeks, with festive shopping at its busiest in November when the Toys “R” Us Christmas catalogue is released.
Children will be able to get their hands on their top wish-list toys at the store, located on the West Mall Gallery, which this year include CHiP the Robot Dog, Hug Time Poppy Doll from the film Trolls, the Paw Patrol Air Patroller and the Minions Pie Face game.
Dan Howe. Toys R Us new Store Manager, said: “We were very keen to find the right location in Frenchgate, so we’re really pleased to finally be here. It’s a great shopping centre and one we know our customers will enjoy.
“I have a great new team of toy experts with me, and together we promise to offer convenience with a whole host of fun and laughter thrown in.
Patrick Mellon, General Manager at Frenchgate Shopping Centre, added: “At Frenchgate we are constantly striving to offer our loyal customers access to the biggest stores and brand names, and Toys “R” Us is no exception.
“We are delighted to welcome the much-loved store to Frenchgate and it will be a fantastic addition to the centre, particularly in the run up to Christmas which is always a busy time for the retail sector.
“As the countdown to Christmas begins, the stores’ top toys are to prove incredibly popular and we look forward to seeing our young customers get their hands on their favourite toys!”
Late night shopping at Frenchgate will be available from 10th November, with the shopping centre opening from 9am to 8pm.
