Passengers are switching to cruise control to explore the Caribbean, Canaries and the Mediterranean as Thomson Cruises launch their Winter 2017 packages from Yorkshire’s Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
With tickets now on sale passengers can book their winter 2017 cruise on the TUI Discovery to Barbados, the TUI Discovery 2 to Jamaica, the Thomson Dream to Tenerife and Grand Canaria, the Thomson Spirit to Cyprus or the Thomson Celebration to Malaga.
Chris Harcombe, head of aviation development from Doncaster Sheffield Airport said: “Cruises have always been popular with our passengers who enjoy the experience of being out at sea and getting to see a number of different destinations on one holiday.
“We are delighted to be able to offer passengers even more choice for 2017 with Thomson Cruises. We know that cruise passengers like to book early and make the most of the special offers that come with this.”
TUI Discovery will sail from Bridgetown, Barbados, and will visit exotic ports of call such as St Lucia and Aruba. Whilst the newest ship, TUI Discovery 2 will be based in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Thomson Dream will move to the Canaries where she will take over from Thomson Majesty, who, along with Thomson Spirit, will be retiring from the fleet in November 2017.
Managing director of Thomson Cruises Richard Sofer said: “This is the first time we’ll have had three ships in the Caribbean and that means we can continue to offer more choice and flexibility to our customers, who we know are looking more and more for holidays further afield.”
