This year’s Easter getaway will see passengers from a South Yorkshire airport hopping away in search of chocolate-melting climates.
Doncaster Sheffield Airport are expecting thousands of passengers to pass through its doors over the Easter weekend heading to one of the 40 destinations across Europe and beyond that are accessible from the Yorkshire hub.
As many as 12,300 passengers are forecast to take the opportunity to fly from the airport over the Easter weekend.
Passengers will depart to a range of Mediterranean resorts and European city break destinations from the airport, served by operators such as Flybe, Thomson, First Choice and Wizz Air.
Chris Harcombe, head of aviation development said: “Easter is an extremely busy period for the airport and we all look forward to welcoming passengers ahead of their flights as they head out on their getaways. Dublin, Paris and Amsterdam are proving to be very popular routes this Easter weekend.
