Doncaster Business Conference 2018
The Doncaster Business Conference is back for its fourth year, bringing the private sector, politicians and other key stakeholders together to discuss the matters which are important to Doncaster businesses.
The event serves as a stocktake for Doncaster’s economy and allows the private sector to air its views on the challenges and opportunities facing them. The event helps to inform the Chamber’s policy priorities for the following twelve months and, importantly, allows for a high level discourse to take place between the borough’s businesses and local, regional and national stakeholders that have an influence on the Borough.
The event, facilitated by James Mitchinson (Editor, Yorkshire Post), will focus on two panel discussions looking at:
- Maximising Doncaster’s Talent Pool
- Maximising Doncaster’s Culture & Leisure Offer
The conference will also include a keynote address from Robert Hough CBE (Director of Peel and Chairman of Peel Airports), an 'In Conversation With' segment with local MP's, and other highlights as yet to be confirmed.
Speakers and panellists include:
Robert Hough CBE (Director of Peel and Chairman of Peel Airports), Karen Finlayson (Partner, Risk Assurance, North Region Lead, PwC), Anne Tyrrell (Chief Executive Doncaster College and North Lindsey College), Deborah Rees (Director, CAST), Andy Price (Founder, &create), Rt Hon Ed Miliband MP, Rt Hon Caroline Flint MP, Rt Hon Dame Rosie Winterton MP, Rachel Horne (Co-editor, Doncopolitan), Dan Fell (CEO, Doncaster Chamber) and Jill Wood (VP Doncaster Chamber & Managing Director, Signum Facilties Management).
Additional speakers and pannellists will be confirmed soon and posted online. Please note whilst every effort is made to avoid any such amendments, the agenda, speakers and panellists are subject to change.
