Linkedin Local Launch
LinkedIn is undoubtedly the market leader in online networking, therefore by embedding LinkedIn into the Business Showcase event for 2020 we’re looking to provide our attendees with the very best 365-day a year networking experience that bridges the divide between offline and online networking.
Nicky Thomas, Regional Director for BforB and Rik Courtney, Be More Social are on a mission to introduce Linkedin Local to the Doncaster LinkedIn community to offer the opportunity to build relationships with online connections in a face-to-face, relaxed, and social environment.
Linked in Local will launch at the Business Showcase on 27 February at the ‘LinkedIn Lounge’ with information on regular bi-monthly dates planned from March onwards.
The networking lounge is a brand new initiative which will enable attendees to network and make new contacts 'offline' at a live event, whilst simultaneously building their 'online' network through using LinkedIn.
Furthermore, attendees will have the opportunity to access insight, content and networking opportunities all year round as part of a new local community through Linkedin Local meet-ups and social events.
In the ‘networking lounge’ attendees will network whilst using the LinkedIn app on their mobile to scan individuals LinkedIn QR codes and connect online. If you don't know how to use the LinkedIn app and its QR code feature then Nicky and Rik will be there to show you how (don't worry it is simple).
On the walls of the lounge will be our ‘Locals in Business’ display which will include photos of many of the exhibitors in attendance alongside members of the Business Doncaster team. Beneath each photo will be their LinkedIn QR code for you to scan.
This is a very new initiative and we are not giving any guarantees on how well this will work. All we can promise is we will do our best to make it fruitful for both exhibitors and attendees of the Business Showcase 2020.
