Understanding ISO: Quality Standards and Accreditation (Derbyshire)
The Masterclass will serve as an introduction to the new ISO standards’ using ISO9001 as a basis to learn the fundamentals of how to implement and integrate all the new ISO’s - 9001, 14001, 27001 & 45001 both individually and using a combined management systems (CMS) approach and the benefits of doing this.
The Masterclass content will include:
- How to show to auditor that you understand 'context’ and have business strategy
• What to do to show risk management
• Documented info control - what needs to be managed and what can be left out
• What a good quality policy looks like
• How often to audit and how to do it
• Analysing processes and writing meaningful procedures
• UKAS or not - what's the difference?
What are the benefits to my business?
The business will be equipped with an understanding of the structure of ISO Standards, their structure and the potential business benefits of implementing them.
The session will be structured to ensure that the candidates are briefed on the 8 management principles underpinning the ISO system, and the necessary steps to build a system using a systems approach.
This thought-provoking approach ensures that the views of the attendees will be pooled to give all delegates a broad spectrum of the workings of ISO systems in different types of organisations.
Who is the masterclass for?
The Masterclass is aimed at SME business owners, senior managers and managers who potentially may lead the implementation of ISO standards in their organisation.
Who is leading it?
The Masterclass will be presented by Mike Brook and one of our specialist ISO Consultants. Both have extensive consultancy experience, assisting implement strategy and management systems to add value to businesses.
Prior to entering Consultancy all held a range of senior and Director level roles in a number of manufacturing and service businesses.
Only one registration per business via Eventbrite will be confirmed. If additional people from your business would like to attend, they can be added to a waiting list by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with the business name, name of additional attendee and contact telephone number. If this Masterclass isn’t fully subscribed upon the closure of registrations, we will contact you to offer the additional place. The waiting list will be prioritised on a first come first served basis. Businesses that register more than one attendee via Eventbrite will be contacted and asked to nominate one person to attend.

Please note that if your firm that is part of a larger Group you may need to include staff headcount, turnover, balance sheet data for the Group too, to ascertain whether it is eligible.
We are pleased to be able to provide this masterclass free of charge due to funding from the European Regional Development Fund. There are a number of eligibility criteria for attendees which we will check using the online registration questions and in a phone call to every attendee prior to the event.
