A 320,000 sq ft warehouse unit currently in Doncaster currently occupied by kitchen manufacturer Omega plc has changed hands for £22m.
The capital markets team at CBRE in Leeds, acting on behalf of a local authority pension fund, has acquired the investment on Omega Boulevard, Capitol Park in Thorne from a private investor. Savills' Leeds office advised the vendor.
The freehold property comprises a strategically located manufacturing/ distribution facility close to Junction 6 of the M18. It is fully let to kitchen manufacturer Omega plc until 2034.
Alex Whiting, senior director of capital markets at CBRE in Leeds, said: "The property is in a prime location and is let to a strong tenant who has invested heavily in the building over recent years. The tenant continues to grow its business and employ more local staff. This acquisition is further evidence of the strength of the South Yorkshire market and positive news for the Yorkshire region as a whole."
CBRE's in house multi-disciplinary Building Consultancy team in Leeds led by James Forth managed the pre-acquisition building survey and full technical due diligence process on behalf of the purchaser.
