Pacy and Wheatley Construction have completed the build of a new 15M high bay, steel frame industrial unit in Doncaster for repeat client Eldred Holdings.
This scheme included fire protection & working methods to suit the adjacent ‘live’ railway environment as well as liaising with Network Rail Asset Management to ensure works were carried out to meet their requirements. The other industrial units on the estate all remained live and working throughout the construction period and as the estate was next to a residential area it was key to keep noise levels low.
Despite unforeseen ground conditions being encountered, they managed to maintain and complete to the agreed programme, ensuring the racking installation works and electrical service installation could be incorporated and access provided in order to maintain the tight programme delivery. Working very closely with the clients on-site team to ensure deliveries and operation restrictions were adhered to meant the business’s day-to-day activities were not affected.
