Crown Hotel, Bawtry has been home for Film Production Company since June

The Cast and Crew checked into the hotel in June and have been filming around Doncaster for the past 6 weeks.

Producer Rienkje Attoh and Head of Production Alexandra Breede prefer Independent hotels and loved the vibe and feel of the Crown! They got to know the staff and became part of the team! The crew and cast also loved Bawtry – plenty to do on the doorstep after a day of exhausting filming!

'Pond Life', directed by Bill Buckhurst ('Sweeney Todd' on Broadway) and adapted by playwright Richard Cameron from his play of the same name, is set in a quiet mining village near Doncaster in 1994, the story follows a group of young friends who embark on a night-time fishing expedition that none of them will ever forget.

It has been out absolute pleasure to look after the cast and crew of Open Palm film productions during filming of a new production call ‘Pond Life’ said Katey Dent, Group Sales Manager.

Part of the cast was Angus Imrie from series Kingdom and film Restless (photographed here with Lesley and Nikki from the hotel).

The film looks to launch early 2018 – so watch this space!
