Crown Hotel Bawtry set to Reopen Accommodation for Essential Workers

From June, the Crown Hotel accommodation will be open for guests who need to stay overnight while working in the area on business in the power, manufacturing, construction, transport and food sectors, as per government guidelines.

Craig Dowie, hotel director commented “It seems a lifetime ago since the doors closed, and myself and Jason Cooper my business partner have not sat still and we have continued a plan of maintenance and decorating so we were ready to go as soon as we could. Essential business is now starting to go back to work and the need for accommodation in the area is increasing so we thought the time was right to have a soft opening from the 1st June.

"We will be following strict government guidance and will adhere to the Covid-19 Secure Guidelines to protect our guests and staff, and have implemented rigid safety polices and procedures ready for the reopening”.

Card payments throughout the hotel – cash will not be accepted, and food service initially will be is on a limited basis with a ‘Grab & Go Breakfast’ and a limited drinks offering.

Guests will also be asked to provide ID to confirm they are on essential business in the area.

Craig added "The Crown is well located for the power stations and local industrial areas like the iPort where vital businesses are located keeping the economy going. We can allow essential guests needing to stay a safe and comfortable goods nights rest, and Bawtry has an array of independent shops and eateries offering delivery who will make our guests stays more comfortable.”
