Doncaster Business Awards open for entry

The annual Doncaster Business Awards 2017, sponsored by Origin Broadband, are now open for entry.

Now in their 19th year, the Business Awards, run by Doncaster Chamber, showcase some of the best businesses in the town.

All organisations with a DN postcode can enter any of the 12 award categories, including

Rising Star of the Year, Excellence in Customer Service, and Large Business of the Year. Entries close on 18 September 2017. The judging criteria has evolved for both the first stage online application and the final stage interview with a more robust scoring handicap.

“Doncaster is home to lots of outstanding businesses, organisations and charities and entering the awards is a great opportunity for them to raise their profile, inspire others and gain public recognition for their hard work. Many previous winners and finalists have achieved increased sales as a result of the awards,” said Amy Symon, events & membership supervisor at Doncaster Chamber.

Nominations are also being sought for the Lifetime Achievement Award.  Names of people who have made valuable contributions to Doncaster, its economy and people over a number of years can be sent to the Chamber to be considered at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

All award winners will be announced at the Doncaster Business Awards ceremony on 14 December 2017, hosted by the comedian Paul Sinha.

Sponsoring businesses including Clemence Rogers Recruitment, Doncaster College & University Centre, Handelsbanken, Together,  and the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, will judge the finalists and present their  respective category awards to the winners and runners-up.  There are some sponsorship packages still available to be involved with the UK’s largest Chamber network awards ceremony, which attracted over 930 guests last year.
