Doncaster Council’s Interpretation and Translation Unit established since 2005, provides interpretation and translation services both locally and nationally to a wide range of organisations. Priding themselves on providing a high quality professional service tailored to suit the needs of each individual organisation.
All interpreters undergo through a strict recruitment process that includes enhanced DBS checks with additional checks for other countries they have resided in. Interpreters are graded based on qualifications and experience to ensure the most appropriate interpreter is utilised each time. Interpreters are continuously monitored to assess their performance and ensure a high service standard is maintained.
Customer care is very important so there is a constant review of services which include free service reviews, feedback on services received, advice and guidance, staff awareness and training.
The service includes a face to face interpreting services (an interpreter to attend in person for meetings etc.) and written translations (documents like posters, letters, policies, legal information etc.) but this is not exclusive. There is a no obligation review for all customers to look at their needs and demands and to offer advice on the most appropriate and cost effective options.
