Doncaster rail investment opportunities being showcased at InnoTrans 2018, Berlin

InnoTrans is the world’s leading trade fair for transport technology, this year the twelfth biannual InnoTrans will take place at the Berlin Messe on 18 - 21 September 2018. Doncaster rail investment opportunities will be featured at the event.

In 2016 the event saw 2,955 exhibitors from 60 countries and 137,391 trade visitors from 119 countries, with exhibitions from the five trade fair segments; Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction. The InnoTrans Convention, the event’s top-level supporting programme, complements the trade fair.

This year Doncaster as part of the Midlands Engine and Northern Powerhouse will be exhibiting as Invest In Great, promoting the UK rail investment opportunity and specifically Doncaster as the best location to set up in the UK.  You can find the Invest in Great stand in Hall A, City Cube, Stand 218.

Andrew Webb, Rail Sector Development Manager for Business Doncaster is looking to meet potential overseas investors wanting to find out more about opportunities in the UK rail industry, the most buoyant and fastest growing in Europe.

Doncaster given its location and strong rail cluster, is a talent-rich area with an abundance of graduates, universities, rail test facilities and engineering centres of excellence.

The area is a core part of the UK’s £7bn rail manufacturing industry. The region is at the heart of new UK rail projects including the £55bn HS2 rail network, mainline electrification, station redevelopments and extensions to light railway networks, along with the expansion of rail freight infrastructure.

Overall the UK is investing more than £200bn in rail projects across the country in the coming years. This makes the UK and indeed Doncaster an attractive place to locate for rail related overseas companies.
