DONCASTER-based restaurant entrepreneur, Masud Rana, has recruited a new executive chef to oversee his South Yorkshire portfolio.
Todd Vickers, 23, from Bentley, has been appointed by Masud - owner of both La Boca and La Rustica in Doncaster town centre, and the La Fiesta tapas restaurant in Armthorpe.
Todd, who has worked as a head chef across the UK, most recently spending time at Michelin starred Man Behind the Curtain in Leeds, will be responsible for overseeing menu development across all three eateries.
Todd, said: “I’m really excited to be joining Masud and very proud to be overseeing the teams and the menu development at all three restaurants across the borough.
“The restaurants have all got great reputations here in the town and I’m looking forward to building further on that, creating new and exciting dishes and menu offerings for our customers.”
Born in Darlington, Todd moved to the Doncaster area as a child where he fostered his passion for food. His career has since taken him to restaurants throughout the UK, working his way up to head chef and returning to South Yorkshire in recent years.
Masud, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Todd to the team. Having recently opened La Boca in the town centre, I’m already working on new restaurant concepts and menu offerings and Todd’s expertise is invaluable in this area.
“He has an impressive CV and his skills and expertise will undoubtedly help to build further on each of our three Doncaster restaurants, as well as other projects I have in the pipeline.”
As part of his remit, Todd is already underway with developing Christmas menus as well as daytime offers, set to be launched in the coming weeks.
