Doncaster's newest wine bar, The Counting House, based in Bessacarr, has opened doors to the public.
The venue, based in the old Natwest bank at Nostell Place, has been opened by Doncaster Conferences Catering and Events (DCCE) the commercial partner of Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust, which is growing its portfolio following the success of The Leopard Music Venue in Doncaster.
Chris Hone, head of commercial development said: “We are very excited to have opened this new venue in Bessacarr.
“The Counting House is a great place for people to meet, eat and drink in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
“We are proud to be using local suppliers for our menu including Wilkinsons Butchers, KD Davies Fruit and Vegetables suppliers from Doncaster and Catherine’s Choice from Sheffield and are already working with the local community and local partners to ensure that they make the best use of this new venue.”
The venue serves breakfast, lunch and sharing planks with afternoon teas served weekdays and tapas on weekends.
Live acoustic music will also be programmed drawing on local talent across the borough.
“The Counting House is already proving to be a very popular venue and we are enjoying welcoming people and will be hosting regular community meetings and events,” added Chris.
The Counting House will be open daily from 8.30am.
