Doncaster to celebrate NHS 70th birthday

Local businesses are invited to get involved with us and help celebrate the NHS’s 70th birthday this summer. Having a fit and healthy workforce is vital for business success and NHS partners are keen to develop their links with local business to help promote health and well-being across Doncaster and Bassetlaw.

Supporting those who work and care for others is also a central theme of the Doncaster Place Plan and promoting the best health and wellbeing for everyone makes good business sense.

To celebrate this special milestone for the NHS, a family friendly fun day is being organised by local NHS partners at the RDaSH Tickhill Road site in Doncaster, on Sunday 8 July. The aim of the day is to reflect and celebrate the achievements of the last 70 years, as well as think about the future, going forwards.

The event will also look at how Doncaster can develop its future workforce and work in partnership with local schools and colleges to homegrow healthcare professionals of the future.

The family event also coincides with Flourish Enterprises Open Day which runs 11am-4pm. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the beautiful walled garden and there will be lots of fun for everyone, including a bouncy castle and yoga.

Businesses can get involved with the celebrations by offering event sponsorship and promoting to colleagues. For further information contact Rachael.Mather@nhs.net
