Doncaster Sheffield Airport has brought in a new director of operations.
Dee Thomas has relocated from Kent where she worked for Wilson James, a supplier of security, logistics and business support, as director of aviation.
In her new role she will oversee operations including sustainability, compliance, passenger services and terminal operations.
Thomas said: "I'm delighted to join the team at DSA at such an exciting time. It has real ambitions for growth through its passenger numbers, increased destinations as well as its thriving cargo business.
"A key focus for me and my team will be how we manage this in a respectful and sustainable manner.
"DSA has impressed me with its commitment to encouraging more women to work in the aviation industry and I am very proud to support its drive to encourage more females to consider this as a career option.
"I'm very happy to be here and my family and I are thrilled by the wonderful warm Yorkshire welcome we have received."
Chairman Robert Hough added: "She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position and is already delivering great results.
"Dee is a positive role model in our drive to encourage more women to consider a career in aviation."
