Final Thorne Park plot sold

Henry Boot Developments has completed its 20-acre Thorne Park scheme in Doncaster with the sale of the last plot of land.

The plot has been acquired by franchisee company QFM Group, which operates brands including Costa Coffee, KFC, Taco Bell and Anytime Fitness.

Thorne Park comprises more than 150,000 sq ft of industrial and warehouse space located at Junction 6 of the M18.

Vivienne Clements, director at Henry Boot Developments, said: "This final land sale completes what has proven a very successful scheme, involving the transformation of a brownfield site into the thriving mixed-use development it is today.

"We are pleased to have been able to bring the site forward with the help of ERDF funding and the ongoing commitment of Business Doncaster. The scheme has been a real catalyst for the creation of new jobs in the area and is a valuable asset to Thorne and its local economy."

Henry Boot Developments previously secured a £6.45m grant from the European Regional Development Fund (ERFF) to enable the development of the final phase and has since worked closely with Business Doncaster to market the scheme to potential occupiers. Tenants now include Furniture Village, Stuncroft, Boxes and Packaging, and Purex.

JLL advised HBD on the sale. JPR Property Consultants advised the buyer.
