First new swimming pool in a generation celebrates 1st successful year

Swimstars and Dolphins opened the doors to their brand-new custom-built boutique Swim School this time last year...... and what a year it has been!

Sara Pegden and Sue Fynney, mother and daughter who ventured into the rapidly growing business of Swimstars and Dolphins in the year 2000 have transformed the way children learn to swim with their own unique progressive swim scheme which is highly recommended by families.

The pool opened within Marrtree Industrial Estate in Wheatley, Doncaster on Monday 23rd April 2018 and has gone from strength to strength with hundreds of children attending and learning to swim every week.

The custom built pool has provided a space where families, children and schools can enjoy the exclusive use of the swimming facility making it a more personal and friendly experience. This is one of the many reasons why over 30 Primary Schools in the surrounding area are now using Swimstars to deliver lessons as part of their swimming provision.

Lana Molloy, Finance officer at Balby Central School said: “Swimstars and Dolphins provide a fantastic value for money, fun educational swimming programme for our children.

"The staff and quality of the service provided has far exceeded our expectation, the whole service is well organised and our children love their lesson each week.

"Thank you Swimstars and Dolphins from all the staff and children at Balby Central Primary School.”

Following the success of Quest Parks first year a site is already earmarked in Bawtry with the plans to develop another model due to high demand.

Sara Pegden, the director of the business believes they have a unique plan that has already proven itself to be successful and can be replicated with Swimstars main aim in mind ‘Enabling more children to take part’

Sue Fynney said: “This year has been everything we envisaged and more. It is so uplifting to see families and children attending our pool week in week out with smiling faces. This is the start of great things for Swimstars and we can only thank everyone for their continued support and for following us on this journey.”

To Celebrate Swimstars 1st Year Anniversary at Quest Park they will be offering one year’s free swimming lessons. Keep an eye on Swimstars and Dolphins Facebook page for your chance to win.

We wish Swimstars the best of luck for the future, there is nothing more rewarding than giving children the chance to learn such a vital skill!
