Local business woman ‘Claire Lyon’, from ‘Doncaster’ achieves the prestigious Children’s Activities Association Gold Accreditation Standard

Local business woman, Claire runs The Creation Station South Yorkshire & Doncaster franchise providing award-winning art and craft classes, parties and events. Having met all the necessary rigorous criteria Claire has now been awarded ‘Gold Standard of Operation’ by The Creation Station Limited Head Office.

With their dynamic team of 130 franchise owners UK-wide, The Creation Station Ltd recently achieved the highest ‘Gold Star’ rating by the Children’s Activities Association (CAA). This is a significant achievement and reflects their high standards, their keenness to deliver ‘best practice’ across the board and their commitment to supporting this fast-growing sector.

A UK-first, the Children’s Activities Association was launched in 2015 by a team of independent experts to at last ensure parents had a simple way to find out whether all children’s activities were checked on a range of important issues such as health and safety, first aid, training, qualifications, insurance and criminal records.

With the mission to establish and improve industry standards and offer a comprehensive accreditation scheme, the CAA now ensures expert providers like The Creation Station Ltd have a clear and simple way to give parents confidence when booking their children’s classes by asking one question ‘Are you a member of the CAA?’

The robust CAA accreditation includes modules on compliance, training, customer service, programmes and delivery and all policies are verified by the CAA’s independent accrediting organisation, Fundamentally Children led by Dr Amanda Gummer PhD. This achievement showcases The Creation Station Ltd as one of the UK’s leading providers in their field.

Claire said “I’m so proud to achieve the gold CAA accreditation and be providing peace of mind to all parents who bring their children along to our creative experiences. I believe it also provides assurance for the adults and older people for whom, we also provide quality art and crafts creative events.  It’s great being part of the local community and helping to inspire imaginations with safe, high quality and fun activities!”

Sarah Cressall, Founder and Managing Director of The Creation Station Ltd said “It’s important to us that parents know they are attending an activity that’s safe, well managed and age and stage appropriate. All our Creation Station franchise owners are fully trained in first aid, health and safety and safeguarding. They have full public liability insurance, along with an enhanced DBS check. All the activities and products we use are tried and tested so that our guests, both children and adults can enjoy a fun, positive and nurturing creative experience”.

As the UK’s leading arts and crafts creative activity company, The Creation Station is committed to high standards in safety, quality, delivery, and programme development. The fun, creative, and educational high standards have been recognized nationally with awards to include; Winner ‘Excellence and Innovation in Children’s Education Services’ 2017, Winner ‘Sylvia Anderson Award for Creativity’ 2017, Winner ‘Best Franchise for Children’s Services’ in the Best Franchise Awards 2017, Winner ‘Best Website’ in the Franchise Marketing Awards 2017 and Finalist Richard Branson’s Impact Award 2016.
