Two new currency exchanges have opened at Doncaster Sheffield Airport following a significant increase in passenger numbers in recent years.
International Currency Exchange has opened two new bureau locations at Doncaster Sheffield Airport, as well as three cash machines located across the airport’s check in, arrivals and departure lounge areas.
The move follows a significant increase in passenger numbers at the airport, which handled over 1.2 million passengers in 2016, up by over 45 per cent on 2015.
Ian Smith, head of commercial and passenger experience at Doncaster Sheffield Airport said: "We’re really excited to be launching this new venture with International Currency Exchange to provide a brand new travel currency store here in the terminal.
"Through this new partnership, we’re proud to be the one of the first airports in the North to offer high street prices in terminal, where traditionally rates may not be as competitive.
"The new store will allow our passengers to easily purchase their travel money and be safe in the knowledge they are getting the best deal available."
Paul Glossop, managing director of International Currency Exchange for Europe, added: "Being a local myself and still living in the Doncaster area, I'm absolutely delighted that ICE is able to work hand-in-hand with such a trusted Airport partner as Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
"Together, we'll provide holidaymakers with the opportunity to exchange their travel money directly at the Airport before travelling at extremely competitive rates, certainly as good as most high street outlets."
