A North East-based architecture firm has gained planning permission for a new £5m residential scheme in Doncaster.
Newcastle firm Gradon Architecture has been given the go-ahead by Doncaster Council to develop the scheme on behalf of its client Balsuum Developers.
Situated on the site of the former NHS Clinic & Day Centre on Glebe Road, the development will be comprised of 67 one and two bed apartments.
Forming an L shaped arrangement, the site will provide a linear street frontage onto the existing residential amenity off Haynes Road, with an additional detached block addressing the existing public amenity space to the west of the site.
The proposed buildings will also be constructed in order to retain as many of the trees as possible to enhance the completed scheme.
Gradon Architecture, which is based in Ryton, has grown since its establishment in 2009, having expanded into new studios in Derry, Northern Ireland and Mongolia.
