Planning approved for Bawtry Swimming Pool

Doncaster Council approve plans for Swimstars & Dolphins second custom-built Swim School in Bawtry, Doncaster.

Their first venue opened within Marrtree Industrial Estate in Wheatley, Doncaster on Monday 23rd April 2018 and has gone from strength to strength with hundreds of children attending and learning to swim every week.

The custom built swimming pools provide a space where families, children and schools can enjoy the exclusive use of the swimming facility making it a more personal and friendly experience. This is one of the many reasons why over 40 Primary Schools in the surrounding area are now using Swimstars to deliver lessons as part of their swimming provision.

The former Bottling Plant in Bawtry located on Tickhill Road will see the installation of a brand new 20 metre pool that will be exclusively available for private swimming lessons for children aged from 2 years old and for local Primary Schools to access as part of their swimming provision.

Swimstars Director Sara Pegden said “We are the UK’s fastest growing provider of private swimming lessons and, we want to further invest in Doncaster and create a Doncaster based business that can grow throughout the whole of the UK. Following the success of our Wheatley venue we want to emulate this concept in Bawtry.

As Doncaster is already recognised as having the second highest rate of obesity in England, our centre will not only help to create a safe environment for children to learn a vital life saving skill, but it will also enable us to educate children the importance of regular exercise to help reduce obesity figures across Doncaster. ”
