Planning granted for Doncaster Aero Centre industrial development

Detailed planning consent has been granted for a two unit industrial development scheme at Doncaster Sheffield airport site totalling 105,035 sq ft.

Trebor Developments and partner, Hillwood, agreed terms with Peel Investments earlier this year to acquire the site and following planning consent, work on site on Avion @ Aero Centre will start in November for delivery of the two units of 45,876 and 59,159 sq ft in Q2 2020.

This is the second detailed planning consent under consideration by Trebor in Doncaster, with Gateway 4 at 409,000 sq ft, having been submitted to the same planning authority.

The Avion development at Aero Centre provides mid-size industrial units suitable for manufacturing or distribution uses and being located adjacent to one of the fastest UK growing airports with excellent traffic links to Junction 2 of the M18, A1(M), Junction 35, provides outstanding transportation possibilities.

Bob Tattrie, Managing Partner for Trebor, said: “Another detailed consent allowing us to deliver quality, cost-effective accommodation to the Yorkshire market.  We will shortly be on site delivering these excellent units, which we believe will be attractive to a range of occupiers.  We will be delivering in excess of 600,000 sq ft of industrial speculative accommodation in Yorkshire over the next 12 months, with potential for this to expand much further as new sites come forward."

Trebor/Hillwood are represented by Knight Frank in Sheffield and CPP and the development is supported by Business Doncaster.
