It is with considerable pride that reappraise consulting announces that our new office will be in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. This may well sound like a leftfield choice initially but as always, we have thought very carefully about the location of our second office.
Doncaster is a logistical hub and therefore, it is perfectly placed for travel right across the country with excellent road and rail links. In fact, it is just under 90 minutes from Kings Cross to Doncaster and the number of trains every day is impressive. This means we are also in striking distance of Sheffield, Rotherham, Worksop, Barnsley, Nottingham and Chesterfield. The chance of a base here was too good to pass up.
In addition, many of our clients are in Humberside, Middlesborough and Leeds, therefore Doncaster is a convenient stop off and base for further expansion. Added to that the new office is set in beautiful grounds that were once part of a hospital. We actually undertake a lot of consultancy with NHS trusts, so it seemed auspicious to procure a new office within the Rotherham and Doncaster Area Health Authority. The view from the office window overlooks the most magnificent cherry tree, unfortunately not in the company colours, but we’ll take it anyway.
It is an amazing opportunity to avail reappraise of the dynamic and vibrant business economy that is thriving in Doncaster right now. It is after all a place where new development nestles alongside country homes, castles and estates. There has been tremendous growth in the area and we really wanted to be a part of this. For example, we know there is the town centre regeneration going on, an international business park. It’s also close to junction 5 of M18 and that makes travel across the region easy. There is plenty of logistics space and land for development.
Who wouldn’t be attracted to an area that is really up and coming in so many ways?
It is also worth mentioning the West Yorkshire devolution deal is another strategic reason why reappraise is moving to Yorkshire. The recent devolution deal has shown that the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Government will develop a West Yorkshire Innovation network. This is through the Connecting Innovation programme. It is very exciting as the programme will provide a dual hub serving an entrepreneurial community, start-ups and SMEs. Who wouldn’t be attracted to the area as it evolves in so many ways?
