Saving Lives with Mental Wellness… Let’s Talk About It

My Network for Women (MNFW) and The Mac Group (TMG) are inviting the residents and businesses of Doncaster to join them at this “Let’s Talk About It” networking event.

Let’s get together and talk about how we can save lives with a better understanding of what causes suicidal behaviour and the positive benefits of mental wellness.

One in four people around the world will be affected by mental health problems at some point in their lives. This year, the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) has decided to make “suicide prevention” the main theme of World Mental Health Day.

“Suicidal behaviour has existed throughout human history, but due to several complex factors, it has increased gradually in all parts of the world and, in the past few decades, has reached alarming statistical levels” says Dr. Alberto Trimboli, President WFMH.

This is your opportunity to take part in an informative and lively debate on improving mental health for everyone in Doncaster.

Reputable and knowledgeable speakers have been invited to come along and help attendees to better understand some of the key issues:

  • What drives some of us to suicide?
  • How do we access Mental Health services?
  • What other mental wellness solutions are available?

There will be a choice of breakout sessions and workshops that will suggest practical solutions for improving and maintaining mental wellbeing. You will be able to choose to attend the workshops or browse the exhibitor stands and talk to a range of therapists, practitioners and National Health Service representatives. It will be your opportunity to get involved and learn how to improve your own mental wellness.

Help to give hope by joining with My Network for Women (MNFW) and The Mac Group (TMG) on October 14th to start conversations on difficult subjects, create a stigma free community with dignity for all and bring lasting change for better mental health in Doncaster.

Tickets are priced at £5 and include refreshments and a light lunch. To book visit or contact for more information.
