Three prestigious deals with a GDV of £40 million in one week for acquisitive Swan Homes

Acquisitive Doncaster-based residential developer Swan Homes has added three prestigious property deals to an expanding portfolio in just a week, with a significant acquisition in Doncaster and a further two in London.

It was a busy week at Swan Homes as the company acquired a five acre site in Doncaster for the development of 120 residential units, where they intend to provide a selection of family homes in a village setting. This move coincides with Swan’s ambitious plans to increase their residential programme in and around South Yorkshire. Commenting, Tariq Shah, Director said:

The company has also been quietly expanding operations in London with a view to acquiring additional high value sites that complement their aspirations at the top end of the market and add to an already successful portfolio in the capital.

A high profile site in Chelsea was viewed and acquired within less than one week.  The development site has planning for a single house which is scheduled for completion in Summer 2018.

Also during the week, Swan acquired a prominent West London development site for a further 25 homes close to a new Elizabeth Line Crossrail station. 17 minutes from Mayfair and 24 minutes from the City, this quality modern development will provide much-needed homes with easy access to the UK’s commercial centre.

Completing this record breaking week, planning permission was obtained for another London-based Swan development. ‘The Hestercombes’ occupies a prime Fulham location and will convert to four luxury residential apartments just off Fulham Road. This well-located site has been long ignored and in a dangerous state of repair. The new apartment complex is designed to provide apartment homes for young professionals in an area where prices for traditional houses are normally out of reach.
