TX1 Radio launches to fill the local radio void

Introducing TX1 Radio - Doncaster & Bassetlaw’s brand new local radio station.

The exciting new station, which launched at 8am on Monday 14th September, will broadcast 24 hours 7 days a week - with music from the 60s all the way up to current chart hits.

Listeners will be kept up to date with local events, information and news, while the station will also showcase local artists and play a great mix of popular music. Specialist shows will also play on weekdays from 8pm and weekends from 6pm – with themes including rock, northern soul and country music.

TX1 Radio will be initially available via smart speakers, TX1 Radio’s free iOS and Android app, and online at www.tx1radio.co.uk

When it comes to core values, being the heart of the community is what TX1 Radio is all about. The station will offer completely free promotional opportunities for local charities and social groups, in the form of advertising or interviews. Local businesses can also get involved in this through TX1 Radio’s affordable and bespoke advertising packages.

The team behind TX1 Radio are no strangers to local broadcasting – Warren Miller and Stewart Nicholson have teamed up with the brains that power York & Harrogate’s hugely popular stations, YO1 and HG1 Radio. From its professional and likeable presenters to exciting competitions; as well as an engaging and supportive presence within the community, TX1 Radio promises to be a refreshing and relevant choice for residents and businesses alike.

Warren Miller, TX1 Radio’s  Programme Director, says: “We promise to be part of the local community and deliver a truly local radio station with great mix of music - and presenters that live and breathe our local area.”
